| About Malaria Control International
Our Mission is to significantly reduce the chance of infection and end deaths due to malaria.
Our goal is to minister, educate and train men, women and children in sub-Saharan African communities to implement long term malaria control management programs.
Malaria Control International was founded in 2006 by actor/writer Bo Brinkman. In 2001, while Bo was filming the civil war epic, “Gods and Generals,” he met Brad Phillips, the founder of Persecution Project Foundation. After learning about the conditions in Africa he began working with the foundation as a spokes person. In the past several years during relief work efforts in East Africa, Bo witnessed the tragedy and devastation caused by malaria and began looking for new ideas to combat the disease.
In 2004, he developed a portable, solar powered mosquito mist system. In 2005 the system was tested in Kenya. In 2006, the first 40 systems were manufactured and shipped to Nairobi, Kenya. This year Malaria Control International will distribute and install these mist systems to malaria burdened villages in Kenya and Sudan. Malaria Control International is a non-profit Christian based organization exempt from federal income tax under IRC section 501 (c) (3). Gifts are tax-deductible.
